    Position summary

    ndon office on a Hybrid basis you will Lead research and analysis of policies, regulation, industry initiatives and other external developments relating to climate change and assessing their impact on PGIM as a whole and its businesses

    • Collaborate with Global Head of ESG, ESG Strategy Team and ESG Council members to identify risks and opportunities for our business arising from climate related policy developments, and develop practical recommendations and solutions to help PGIM and its businesses address these
    • Lead and support the development of capabilities and tools to assess and, where possible, quantify the impact of climate risks on PGIM's business at an entity and portfolio levels
    • Collaborate with PGIM's Operation and Innovation Group and PGIM businesses on topics related to ESG data and analytics tools, including helping PGIM teams in understanding and using ESG data and tools
    • Lead the ESG Council's Data & Technology Working Group
    • Help identify and review additional data sources and vendors
    • Support PGIM's ESG teams objectives by contributing to the following:
      • Analysis of ESG data to support PGIM ESG reporting and other projects as needed.

      • An industry analysis to benchmark PGIM's positioning on ESG and climate relative to competitors and versus client needs.

      • Capturing and promoting lessons and good practices to strengthen PGIM knowledge and capabilities and foster innovation.

      • Establishing the goals, metrics, reporting and tracking framework that monitors PGIM's collective progress on ESG and climate;

      • Generating thought leadership for use by PGIM affiliates and our clients;

      • Engaging with Prudential's corporate ESG and Sustainability committees to ensure the needs of PGIM's affiliates and clients are embedded into the enterprise approach to climate policies and commitments, and to leverage any PFI efforts as appropriate for PGIM;

      • Proactively assisting with responding to internal and external ESG and climate-related queries and issues, working with other PGIM functions to communicate the firm's approach to internal and external stakeholders.

      • Responding to industry consultations and representing the company externally where appropriate.

      • Supporting various PGIM-wide ESG initiatives.

    What you will bring

    • Experience working for a financial institution, preferably in investment management with a focus on climate change related topics

    • Experience in managing multiple workstreams, including administrative tasks, project planning and ensuring smooth workflows

    • Deep understanding of climate science, the low carbon transition and its implications for investment management

    • Expertise in climate data across carbon foot printing, fossil fuel exposures, transition risks, green revenues, physical risks, climate reporting systems (e.g. TCFD and CDP) and a good understanding of carbon budgets and scenario analysis (e.g. IEA, NGFS)

    • Knowledge of other key ESG themes (e.g. biodiversity), and a demonstrated ability to quickly increase this

    • Demonstrated ability to think independently, and proactively seek practical answers to open ended questions

    • Advanced data manipulation and Excel skills; experience of working with large datasets

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment with an outcome-focused approach to work

    • Strong interest in combining policy and strategy focused work with developing practical tools and solutions for investment businesses

    What will set you apart

    • Knowledge of regulatory disclosure requirements (SFDR, TCFD)

    • A minimum of 5 years of work experience related to climate and data in a financial institution

    • Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or Aladdin

    • Familiarity with ESG data services and metrics

    • Experience building data visualization tools

    • Python coding skills

    • Experience within a data-related or quantitative role
