    What you will do:

    PGIM Fixed Income is recruiting for an Senior Analyst to join the Emerging Markets macro team. The economist will focus on cross-country and individual country research, maintaining sovereign credit ratings, and will contribute to internal investment process, marketing, and communication with clients. The successful candidate will also work with the rest of the macro team to contribute to our global macro views.

    What you can expect:

    • Support lead economists in day-to-day coverage of macro and political developments in relevant economies and regions

    • Support development of forecasts and macro scenarios for the key emerging markets

    • Maintain key databases for emerging markets and the global economy

    • Maintain and update our in-house sovereign rating model

    • Contribute to internal ESG impact model

    • Contribute to the development of new analytical tools and models

    • Contribute to PGIM's thought leadership through work on blogs and longer research pieces

    • Present data, analysis, and findings in internal investment meetings with portfolio managers and strategists

    • Attend meetings with issuers, research providers, policy makers and other market participants

    What you will bring:

    • BA or MA/MSc in economics, statistics, finance, mathematics, computer science, or related field

    • Ideally worked in a financial institution, central bank, government, or a think tank

    • Hands on experience with macro and financial data

    • Strong econometric, data management and programming skills (eg Excel, Haver, Macrobond, Stata, EViews, Python)

    • High attention to detail

    • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines

    • Capacity to work well both independently and as a team member
