    What you will do: In PGIM Fixed Income, our technology group is a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with exciting changes on the horizon under new senior leadership. We are in middle of a technology transformation to build a new platform on Microsoft Azure/Fabric platform from ground up. The ideal candidate for this role owns and executes the data roadmap that is geared around placement and implementation of our investment and distribution data across enterprise data lakes, data warehouse and transactional and NoSQL databases. This person will optimize how data and applications are accessed globally. This will be a key role in our new technical initiative and will report into Enterprise Architecture.     This position can be performed from our office in Newark, NJ. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely and/ from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.

    Your Impact:
    Data Architecture Design: Design and implement cloud-based data solutions using Azure services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Data Pipelines, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
    Performance Optimization: Optimize data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and real-time analytics.

    Data Modeling and Integration: Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and data integration solutions. Create and manage data pipelines, ETL processes, and data transformation workflows.

    Solution Architecture: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design end-to-end data solutions. Evaluate and recommend appropriate Azure services based on business needs.

    Cloud Migration and Modernization: Assist in migrating on-premises data systems to Azure. Modernize legacy data platforms by leveraging Azure services.

    Data Governance and Quality: Establish data governance practices, including data lineage, metadata management, and data cataloging. Monitor data quality and enforce data standards.

    Security and Compliance: Ensure data security, access controls, and compliance with industry standards. Implement encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

    Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance and leadership in implementing cloud data solutions.

    Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies, tools, and services, and evaluate their suitability for meeting business needs. Recommend and implement new technologies to enhance the organization's cloud data capabilities.

    Documentation and Communication: Document cloud data architectures, processes, and best practices. Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Your Required Skills:
    • 15+ of experience in data architecture, with at least 3+ years focused on Azure solutions. Proven track record of successful data architecture implementations.
    • Expertise in Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake.
    • 5+ years' experience of working in Capital Market or Asset Management.

    • 5+ years of experience developing pyspark/python.

    • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
    • Ability to lead technical discussions, mentor junior team members, and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • This is a senior-level position, requiring both technical depth and strategic thinking.

    • Microsoft Fabric platform experience

    Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $150,000 to $225,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits.
