    This role is based in our office in Newark, NJ. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely and from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. This position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring weekly basis at least 3 days per week.

    Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day

    • Create, code, and support solutions to automate the creation, management, and destruction of cloud-based infrastructure that supports platform and AI workloads; actively code against the roadmap

    • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and cost‑efficient infrastructure services using modern cloud platforms

    • Build and manage deployment pipelines, tooling, system configurations, and automation frameworks to accelerate application and platform delivery

    • Provide easily consumable, self‑service infrastructure services and patterns to software and platform engineering teams

    • Accelerate development by building standardized, resilient infrastructure patterns that align with Prudential security, reliability, and compliance standards

    • Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and capacity; proactively identify and resolve operational issues

    • Implement infrastructure‑level security controls, access policies, and compliance requirements using DevSecOps best practices

    • Contribute to incident response, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement of platform reliability and operational excellence

    • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate provisioning, configuration, and environment management

    • Collaborate with product owners, architects, platform engineers, and tech leads to understand requirements, define technical designs, and deliver robust end‑to‑end solutions

    • Improve developer experience through streamlined workflows, templates, tooling, and standardized platform capabilities

    • Develop and document corporate platform standards based on cost, capability, scalability, and capacity requirements

    • Apply infrastructure fundamentals across Linux/Unix operating systems, networking, databases, and distributed systems

    • Bring an applied understanding of emerging technologies; provide technical input, mentor others, and embed learning and innovation into daily work

    • Work on complex problems requiring in‑depth evaluation of multiple technical and operational factors

    The Skills & Expertise You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

    • Experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, cloud operations, or related roles

    • Strong hands‑on experience with one or more cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP. AWS Agent Core Preferred

    • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm.

    • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring, and diagnostics tooling

    • Solid understanding of distributed systems, networking fundamentals, Linux/Unix operating systems, and security best practices

    • Experience with containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

    • Applied programming experience using Python and/or nodeJS, Shell/Power scripting

    • Experience with DevOps and DevSecOps tools, practices, and automation frameworks

    • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), coding standards, and agile development methodologies

    • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams

    • Ability to learn new skills and technologies continuously through self‑initiative and hands‑on problem solving

    • Experience supporting AI/ML platforms, high‑performance compute environments, or data‑intensive workloads is a plus, but not required

    • Financial services or insurance industry experience is a plus, but not required

    Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $104,000.00 to $171,600.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
