Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications;
Architecting and building scalable software components that leverage generative AI techniques;
Researching and evaluating third-party generative AI products, identifying those that align with our business needs and can be integrated into our software ecosystem;
Collaborating with other software engineering teams to develop reusable software components that incorporate generative AI;
Staying current with the latest advancements in generative AI technologies and industry trends and provide recommendations for their adoption;
Conducting code reviews, providing technical guidance, and mentoring junior team members;
Collaborating with data scientists and machine learning engineers to integrate AI models into software systems;
Adhering to coding standards, and software development methodologies;
Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, establishing the stability and performance of the software systems;
Working experience as a Senior Software Engineer, with a focus on architecting and building enterprise solutions;
Working understanding of modern software architectures such as Microservices, Serverless (FaaS), and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA);
Working knowledge of traditional architectures like Client/Server and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA);
Understanding and/or experience of DevOps concepts, (e.g. Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Configuration Management, Containerization, Orchestration, Monitoring and Logging);
Working knowledge in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust systems;
Understanding of generative AI techniques (e.g. deep learning, neural networks, and reinforcement learning);
Understanding of generative AI tools and concepts;
Including prompt-engineering, AI models, and generative AI frameworks (e.g. LangChain, and LlamaIndex);
Working knowledge of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) using vector databases;
Understanding of programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java;
Understanding of database technologies including MongoDB and Azure SQL databases;
Understanding of how to model data for structured and unstructured databases;
Understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and industry leading practices;
Working knowledge of cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud;
Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically;
Working ability to deliver proven software solutions within tight deadlines;
Using Agile software development methodologies; and,
Working experience with popular generative AI frameworks and libraries, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
