Key Responsibilities:
Support the technical definition, evaluation, planning, reporting and interfacing of the transport and installation activities including load in/out operations at manufacturers/marshalling port(s), transportation and installation of components, including handover(s), all in compliance with industry and company standards, and Health, Safety and Environment regulations and guidelines.
Installation Engineering - Confirming method statements, risk assessments, lift plans, safety procedures, permits to work and related documents for all loading, transportation and offshore work is in place
Tasks to be performed:
HSE performance through design and implementation to eliminate or reduce risks during construction, operation and maintenance
Evaluation of potential ports as port for storage and load out of foundations
Prepare and execute relevant documents for the installation ITT Technical evaluation of Transportation and Installation proposals during tender stage
Support of the Contract manager in the preparation of variation orders and claims
Follow up the preparation for execution activities and required interfaces, and support on technical aspects of the transportation and installation.
Coordinate within the project of assignment, as well as across-projects (with similar roles in other projects) to ensure delivery as per objectives and company standards (including but not limited to).
Review method statements and risk assessments and produce comments sheets.
Perform or oversee engineering calculations
Advise on the contract technical requirements,
Write the technical specifications,
Assess the technical aspects of tenders
Assist the Engineering Manager with tasks associated with ensuring a safe design and give advice to risk and programme reviews
Provide input to the risk and programme analysis.
Respond to technical queries or interface with other packages/Contractors to resolve queries
Qualifications
5+ years direct experience supporting offshore Wind projects
Significant and in-depth experience in Project Management of offshore foundations in either the Offshore Wind Energy industry or Oil & Gas
Engineering background with strong knowledge in marine transportation and installation incl. selection of the right tools
Potential areas of work: transportation and installation of monopiles (impact hammer, drill), noise mitigation, noise monitoring; installation of transition pieces and/or secondary steel structures; installation of subsea cables; installation of wind turbines
