Responsibilities:
Ability to troubleshoot and repair electromechanical systems with a solid foundation in theory of operation is required
Read, interpret, and follow electrical, mechanical, & hydraulic circuit drawings
Promote safety for all at all times
Identify energy isolation points and implement LOTO for protection
Thorough knowledge of electromechanical relays, hydraulic accumulators, linear transducers, and electrical motors
Knowledge of computer network communication protocol and theory of operation is desired
Ability to understand and communicate root causes required
Have good communication skills and must value being part of a team
Ability to work with minimum supervision and make decisions for all issues related to his/her discipline(s) with limited and/or available information
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Sciences or related field from an accredited school preferred
A minimum of 2 years of work experience in operations and/or maintenance in power generation, transmission, and/or distribution
Alternatively 2 or 4-year college degree from an accredited school (other than correspondence or online) in a technical science like engineering, physics, power, or closely similar; current journeyman or master electrician license
Ability to push/pull/lift tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work safely in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, etc.)
Ability to walk, climb, and stand extensively during the work day
Knowledge of and experience with the use of hand and power tools
Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures
Ability to work within tight deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability and willingness to travel to and from job sites as assigned
Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
Must be able to maintain a personal weight limitation of 270 lbs.
Must be able to perform fine motor tasks, such as screwing or unscrewing nuts and bolts, while reaching around and over objects
This position is a site base role with occasional travel
Must possess the ability to climb wind towers regularly
Involves the capability to manipulate hatch doors and recognize potential safety risks
Must be able to crouch, kneel, or half-kneel for intervals of up to five minutes to execute maintenance duties in low areas
