    Position summary

    the evangelisation and positioning of the full Salesforce portfolio of existing, new and still to be released products and capabilities across the machine learning and LLM/GPT domains. The individual will work within the EMEA North Solution Engineering architecture practice and their time will be spent primarily in external prospect and customer engagements, with a secondary role advising and enabling the wider solution engineering organisation.

    Role Expectations

    • Primary pre-sales technical authority for all aspects of AI usage within the Salesforce product portfolio - existing Einstein ML based capabilities and new generative AI
    • Majority of time (60%+) will be customer/external facing
      • Evangelisation of our AI capabilities
      • Assessing customer requirements and use cases and aligning to these capabilities
      • Solution proposals, working with Architects and wider SE teams
      • Building reference models/ideas/approaches for inclusion of GPT based products within wider Salesforce solution architectures, especially involving Data Cloud
      • Alignment with customer security and privacy teams on trust capabilities and values of our solution(s)
      • Presenting at multiple customer events from single account sessions through to major strategic events (World Tours in North's major cities, Dreamforce San Francisco)
      • Representing Salesforce at other events (subject to PM approval)
    • Minority (but significant) proportion of time working with internal teams
      • SE organisation education and enablement e.g. roadmap - all roles across all product areas

      • Bridge/primary contact point to product management

      • Represent our region in regional and global SE AI initiatives

    Skills and Experience

    • Minimum of 10 years working directly in the commercial technology space with AI products and solutions

    • Academic qualification to Masters post-graduate degree level (minimum) in computing/computer science. Qualification must involve an AI related subject (ML, deep learning, NLP etc.)

    • Minimum 5 years working in a sales, pre-sales, consulting or related function in a commercial software company

    • Demonstrable experience in presenting and communicating complex concepts to large audiences

    • Team delivery, working with large, sometimes fluid groups in pressurised environments to deliver challenging complex proposals, solution designs and solutions

    • Ability to communicate effectively up, down and across an organisation, summarising concepts, scenarios and situations to senior internal and external individuals and teams, including positioning of negative recommendations or proposals.

    • Continuous learning attitude with a demonstrated history of self enablement and advancement in both technology and behavioral areas.

    • Have the unrestricted right to work within the EU.
