    Salesforce - Corporate Strategy - Hyperscalers is seeking a visionary Director of Software Engineering to lead a high-impact engineering organization within the Corporate Strategy team. This role will lead the development of Salesforce's Estimation-as-a-Service (EaaS) platform - the core technology enabling our transition to a scalable, consumption-based business model.

    The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology leader who can connect architectural vision with business outcomes, build and mentor diverse technical teams, and deliver reliable, high-performing software systems that power Salesforce's growth.

    You will partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Analytics leaders to define and execute the technical strategy that supports Estimation Excellence across internal and external channels - from our APIs to the customer experience layer.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead, mentor, and scale multiple engineering teams focused on building core estimation services and APIs under the Hyperscalers initiative.

    • Define and execute a technical vision aligned with Salesforce's North Star Architecture, emphasizing modular, API-driven, and scalable design principles.

    • Collaborate with product, UX, and data leaders to deliver cohesive solutions that enable faster, more accurate, and data-driven estimation.

    • Oversee the design, implementation, and operation of systems supporting estimation, pricing, and value (ROI) logic for consumption-based products.

    • Ensure architectural consistency, reliability, and observability across all services.

    • Partner with cross-functional leaders to align engineering priorities with revenue, platform, and customer success goals.

    • Champion a culture of innovation, ownership, and technical excellence - encouraging experimentation, learning, and accountability.

    • Drive hiring, career development, and succession planning within the engineering organization.

    • Promote diversity of thought and inclusion as catalysts for innovation and better business outcomes

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience leading and growing high-performing software engineering teams in complex, distributed systems environments.

    • Strong architectural background, with experience designing API-first, service-oriented, or microservice-based systems at enterprise scale.

    • Demonstrated ability to connect technology strategy to business value and measurable outcomes.

    • Deep understanding of modern development practices: DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and agile delivery.

    • Excellent leadership and communication skills - able to inspire technical teams and influence cross-functional partners.

    • Experience in SaaS or consumption-based platforms preferred.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; comfortable navigating ambiguity.
