    Team Overview

    The Office of Ethical and Humane Use (OEHU) was formed with a mandate to ensure that Salesforce technology is used to help, not harm, society and uphold the basic human rights of every human being. The Policy team plays a pivotal role in advancing and implementing ethical use policies and initiatives across Salesforce products and technologies.

    Role Overview

    OEHU is seeking a Policy Operations Intern to join the Ethical Use Policy team at Salesforce and play a pivotal role in implementing and operationalizing ethical use policies across Salesforce products and technologies. Working together with the Ethical Use Policy team and key stakeholders across the company, you will manage a dedicated project during the course of the summer. You will also support day-to-day policy enforcement operations such as responding to internal inquiries, policy research, and investigations.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with team members on various projects and initiatives, ensuring ethical considerations are integrated.

    • Contribute to research and investigations of incoming policy violation reports.

    • Collaborate on and support the development of product use policies.

    • Help drive effective and efficient ethical use policy implementation that scales across multiple products.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Enrolled and working towards obtaining an undergraduate degree (BS/BA) in Sociology, Philosophy, Ethics, Public Policy, Political Science, International Affairs, Business, Communications or a related field. Please note that in order to be eligible for an internship, we require that you be returning to school the following quarter/semester to work towards completing your degree. To qualify, you must be a junior/rising senior during the summer of 2025.

    • Must be attending a college or university in North America

    • Strong research and analytical skills.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

    • Passion for ethics and policy work.

    Preferred Requirements

    • Fluency in languages in addition to English and regional expertise is a plus.

    • Experience conducting open source research.

    • Familiarity with tech ethics and policy considerations.

    For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $25 to $29.

    For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $27 to $31.

    Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
