    Position summary

    echnically proficient Salesforce Commerce Director of Technical Product Marketing to bridge the gap between product capabilities and market needs. This role blends deep technical knowledge of Salesforce Commerce solutions (B2C and B2B Commerce, OMS, POS, and Payments) with sharp marketing acumen to drive product adoption, enable sales teams, and articulate our value proposition to diverse audiences via keynotes, webinars, demos, and more. You'll be responsible for crafting compelling technical narratives, building enablement materials, and creating comprehensive demos while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure our offerings stand out in a competitive marketplace.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the creation of compelling product demonstrations and assets.

      • Craft and deliver engaging live and recorded demos for major events, including Connections, Dreamforce, and NRF, as well as for sales enablement and marketing campaigns.
      • Create and maintain technical product marketing assets, including best practice demo scripts, demo recordings for website and marketing materials, reusable assets for sales teams, and hands-on workshops.
      • Ensure all demo content accurately reflects current product messaging, positioning, and competitive differentiators.
    • Drive technical enablement and thought leadership.

      • Translate complex technical features into clear, compelling value propositions for different target audiences (business, technical, and executive).
      • Develop and deliver technical enablement programs for Solutions, Sales, and Partner teams, ensuring they have the deep product expertise needed for confident customer conversations.
      • Serve as a subject matter expert, supporting strategic programs like analyst relations by providing technical validation and customer use cases.
    • Serve as a cross-functional liaison.

      • Act as the primary liaison between Product, Solutions, and Marketing to ensure technical accuracy and alignment across all go-to-market efforts.
      • Collaborate with Product to ensure readiness for all launches, including technical FAQs and enablement for internal teams.
      • Support demand generation efforts by providing technical content for campaigns, webinars, and events.
      • Facilitate regular roadmap presentations from Product and Engineering teams to enable the sales engineering organization.
    • Monitor and influence the market.

      • Monitor industry trends, competitive offerings, and customer feedback to refine messaging and positioning.

      • Provide competitive intelligence and market analysis to influence product strategy and go-to-market execution.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

    • 8+ years in product marketing, technical marketing, or solution engineering, preferably in the Salesforce or broader enterprise SaaS ecosystem.

    • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C, B2B, or both, as well as OMS and POS).

    • Strong understanding of eCommerce industry trends and customer needs.

    • Proven ability to create engaging, technically accurate marketing materials.

    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    • Experience supporting sales cycles with technical content and customer-facing presentations.

    Desired Skills & Experience

    • Familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem, AppExchange solutions, and partner integrations.

    • Experience with competitive intelligence and market analysis for eCommerce platforms.

    • Ability to quickly learn and communicate new technical concepts.

    • Comfort working in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and global environment.

    For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $193,800 to $281,100.
