Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with product development, engineering, manufacturing, and other teams to integrate quality into every stage of the product lifecycle.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality assurance processes, including inspections, testing, and validation, to ensure product reliability and performance.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality plans, procedures, and reports to ensure traceability and compliance.
Training and Development: Provide training and support to team members on quality standards, processes, and best practices.
Customer Focus: Work to understand and liaise customer quality requirements and ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.
Reactive Quality Management: Address quality issues as they arise including root cause analysis, corrective & preventative actions, and continuous monitoring to prevent recurrence and ensure customer satisfaction.
Design for Safety and Reliability: This role will evolve into a Design for Safety and Reliability practitioner, focusing on integrating safety and reliability principles into the product design process to ensure robust and dependable products.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field, or relative experience.
Proven experience in quality planning and assurance within a product development environment.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Certification in quality management & problem solving (e.g., Six Sigma, RedX, 8D) is a plus.
