What is your role?
You will be responsible for delivery of legal, regulatory and compliance services. You will operate as a key business partner to provide strategic support and advice, working on a wide range of commercial and compliance matters. Your tasks would include:
Deliver all legal services for SE Hungary and the zone
Provide commercially relevant legal advice and assistance for day-to-day activities, covering all areas of Commercial law related, Competition law related, and Employment activities (excluding M&A, IP, and Insurance)
Preparing and reviewing contracts and terms and conditions, supporting negotiations, Preparing templates
Providing claims support and overseeing litigations
Helping to ensure compliance with applicable laws and Group policies
Providing training and facilitating our compliance programs
Other local legal support as reasonably required by Legal Management.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
We are looking for someone who is comfortable with working in a digital environment, feels strongly about social justice and sustainability. Someone who wants to work in an international company and has a proven track record operating in an inhouse environment. Our future colleague must be able to work proactively and closely with the business stakeholders, to identify and analyse critical business issues, and to apply legal expertise to deliver solutions. You should have excellent legal and communication skills and be:
A fully qualified lawyer authorized to practice in Hungary with a Master of Laws degree and at least 5 years' relevant post-qualification experience, ideally in an in-house environment and preferably in the Construction, Oil & Energy, or Renewables & Environment sectors and in commercial law, BAR exam is a plus
Fluent in English and Hungarian (written and verbal) with great technological skills
Confident with fantastic interpersonal skills, commercially minded, highly organized and able to work effectively in teams
Ability to adapt quickly, communicate effectively, manage conflict, and solve problems
Comfortable providing legal support in a fast-paced enterprise sales environment
Considerable legal judgment, experience, and independent reasoning
Ability to work with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
