    Position summary

    You will work as an integral member of the Scrum team, acting as a quality advocate and supporting secure, reliable, and scalable software delivery. The role also includes the ability to dual-hat as a cyber advocate, ensuring security considerations are embedded into testing practices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, representing quality and test perspectives.

    • Define, develop, and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and integration layers.

    • Design and implement automated tests using appropriate frameworks and tools, including WebdriverIO for UI automation, API testing frameworks, and Python-based tooling.

    • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality feedback and regression coverage.

    • Perform exploratory, functional, and regression testing to complement automation and validate complex user workflows.

    • Drive performance testing activities, analyze results, and collaborate with developers to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

    • Support security testing efforts, identifying potential vulnerabilities and collaborating with cybersecurity stakeholders when needed.

    • Collaborate closely with Product Owners to define clear, testable acceptance criteria and ensure shared understanding of requirements.

    • Promote a quality-first mindset across the team, fostering shared responsibility for product quality.

    • Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution and root cause analysis.

    • Continuously improve test processes, tools, and practices to increase efficiency, reliability, and coverage.

    • Build and maintain domain knowledge related to Access Control, Video integration, and security system use cases.

    Technical Requirements:

    • 5-7 years of experience in software testing and test automation within Agile development teams.

    • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and modern testing methodologies.

    • Proven experience designing and implementing automated UI and API tests.

    • Hands-on experience with WebdriverIO or similar modern UI automation frameworks.

    • Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages used for test automation.

    • Experience with API testing and validation of backend-driven systems.

    • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter or similar).

    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build and release workflows.

    • Working knowledge of Git and collaborative version control practices.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues.

    • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with developers and architects.

    Soft Skills:

    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate quality risks and findings.

    • Proactive and detail-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership for product quality.

    • Comfortable working in a cross-functional, distributed team environment.

    • Ability to balance speed and quality in a fast-paced development setting.

    • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities when needed, including acting as a cybersecurity quality advocate.

    Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

    • Experience testing frontend-heavy, web-based applications built with modern frameworks.

    • Exposure to security testing concepts relevant to access control or security platforms.

    • Familiarity with video or real-time systems, such as WebRTC or streaming-based applications.

    • Prior experience working with Access Control, Video Management, or Physical Security systems.

    • Experience working in distributed or global engineering teams.
