    Position summary

    as project team member, measuring is Return on Investment (RoI) project wise.

    Scope & Environment:

    You'll be located in Saudi Arabia supporting SE Global Customer Projects and Service Operation Business, that is present in nearly all countries where Schneider Electric operates in the region. Our aim is to be the first in-class solutions provider covering all Geographies. You'll have a chance to work on a wide range of projects that have a meaning purpose towards sustainability & efficiency.     Your Role - Magic happens when you bring great people together!

    • Issue requests for proposal (RFP /RFQ) to suppliers and conduct negotiations with suppliers to ensure the best ratio quality/time/cost.

    • Improve supplier performance during the whole cycle of life, including management of the continuous quality improvement and delivery performance.

    • Evaluate breakdown of costs of purchases by using all tools and methods for cost evaluation.

    • Write a contract with a supplier ensuring specification's respect and an adequate level of risk.

    • Secure a professional negotiation with the short-listed vendors/ sub-contractors including securing back-to-back conditions with the head contract.

    • Responsible for the supplier award and the criteria for selection

    • Responsible for securing that the vendors awarded has been through the correct qualification process.

    • Be a true partner to the project team in execution and act on escalations concerning the subcontractors, unsettled claims and variation orders.

    • Deploy levers in the supply chain and procurement process to enhance overall competitiveness.

    • Define the specific purchasing strategy for the project, focusing on high stake / high risk commodities, continuously prioritizing tasks based on project time schedule

    • Secure the supplier selection, being involved from the tendering of the project to the cash collection, integrating all spec aspects (cost, lead-time, technology, quality, flexibility, logistic, financing... but also make or buy), managing RFI, RFQ and the bid tabulation (based on total cost of ownership (TCO)), securing the negotiation process (including T&C)

    • Assess risks on the supply chain and transfer/mitigate it as early as possible through audit, contractual clauses, supplier development plan...

    • Contractual with suppliers, managing potential claims with suppliers

    • Manage the purchasing order process with an ethical approach, securing the assets from SE

    • Secure the supply deliveries, managing the risk mitigation plans with suppliers and anticipating pro-actively the necessary reminders

    • Contribute as team member to better serve the customer, taking into consideration the change orders and the expectations from customers, selecting flexible suppliers

    Education: University Msc/Bsc Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain Degree

    Language requirements

    • Fluent in English and Arabic

    • French language will be a plus

    +6 years of strong knowledge with proven experience in purchasing and solution procurement

    Proven cross culture exposure in Middle East countries specially in Saudi Arabia and Gulf region

    Proven experience in mapping and building supplier relationship strategies
