BMET Cybersecurity Specialist

What You'll Do

• Oversee and coordinate the technical activities involved in the medical device cybersecurity program, including the collection of cybersecurity data elements in the asset inventory and ensuring the implementation of necessary cybersecurity controls.

• Lead the execution of critical cybersecurity fixes on medical devices to ensure compliance with security standards and protect patient data and hospital systems.

• Lead technical analysis of emerging cybersecurity threats and assess their potential impact on medical devices in the asset inventory, ensuring timely responses to mitigate risks.

• Offer expert advice on the technical aspects of cybersecurity strategy, including identifying vulnerabilities and making recommendations for improvements to enhance security protocols and processes.

What You Bring

• experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical devices;

• experience in a hospital or healthcare setting;

• ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices;

• excellent communication, customer service and time management skills;

• specific experience with the following medical devices or equipment: sterilizers, vents, dialysis, pumps, anesthesia, monitors, general biomedical equipment

• certification as a Biomedical Technician (CBET).
