Connected to culture, with an eye for design, this dynamic role is responsible for developing our long-term prestige innovation plan/pipeline (from ideation to execution) and brand partnerships - ensuring excellence in execution across our global markets that deliver against the key brand priorities.

    A proven track record of translating marketing and business strategies into inspiring world class creative, the jobholder will be responsible for leading prestige executions that will resonate with global consumers. This will be achieved by partnering closely and building strong relationships with brand, innovation and insight teams and leading the project management of each prestige initiative.

    This is a highly collaborative role requiring high positive impact in how they lead and what they deliver across a complex environment with many partners. It requires strong communication and project management skills combined with passion, resourcefulness and a high attention to detail to help drive the creative vision of our prestige single malt scotch portfolio. This role reports into the Sr Director of Prestige.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Lead and own the strategic direction of our prestige malt scotch initiatives, ensuring our creative concepts deliver in line with brand DNA, positioning and for customers/consumers

    • Lead the development of prestige NPD concepts for Prestige Bowmore, Laphroaig, Glen Garioch and Irish which support the brand strategy

    • Responsible for the ideation and realization of the long-term innovation strategy & 5YR pipeline of global prestige innovation

    • Lead prestige product and liquid innovation development in conjunction with the Whisky Making team as well as Innovation and Brand teams

    • Drive the prestige innovation strategy through powerful and actionable consumer insight and strategic thought leadership

    • Execute creative initiatives from end-to-end including appointing and managing creative agencies and talent across global collaborators, design agencies, creative agencies & production houses

    • Lead the Global Auction strategy and deliver innovation for each auction aligned with the brand strategy with full management & ownership of auction houses and 3rd parties

    • Represent Suntory Spirits Group on Distillers 1of1 council, ensuring our corporate and brand image for future charity auctions

    • Establish a network to further advance our prestige capability and development across the Scotch & Irish Global Brand House

    • Collaborate on creative development projects outside of prestige as requested by the brand/marketing team(s)

    • Support the marketing team, as needed, with design input - feedback on new packs and general assistance with the brand team(s) on maintaining and developing each brands look and feel

    • Act as a trusted advisor to internal brand teams, seeking new collaborations through artists, designers and global talent pool, and facilitate new opportunities as required

    • Establish clear project plans for short-term and long-term projects, planning tasks, milestones, budgets accordingly and ensuring goals and deadlines are met.

    Qualifications

    • Abstract-thinking with creative energy, confidence and self-motivation. Awareness of commercial and business constraints and proven ability to transcend them

    • A highly collaborative partner that can build strong relationships among a high-performing team, obsessed with driving brand power and excellence in execution

    • 5+ years working as senior marketing/creative leader with prestige innovation experience within spirits and/or luxury sector either brand or agency side

    • Proven track record in managing multi-dimensional/complex projects with multiple inputs and outputs

    • In-depth knowledge of brand development and multichannel marketing models.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural, cross functional organization. Empathetic people skills spanning many nationalities and differing attitudes

    • Self-starter, flexible and comfortable working in unstructured environment and able to deal with ambiguity

    • Manage multiple priorities effortlessly. Proactive way of working and ability to work remotely and independently from stakeholders and colleagues in a matrix organization

    • Excellent verbal and written English

    • Passionate and determined, committed to delivering projects on-time and above expectation
