Role Responsibilities**
Maintenance Senior Supervisor contributes to the success of the Clermont plant operation by empowering hourly employees to meet the production requirements on a daily basis. This position will lead the maintenance department in executing the maintenance schedule as well as assisting maintenance technicians with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in both the distillery and bottling areas. The supervisor must identify issues early on and with the team find a permanent solution to problems. The supervisor will identify opportunities for continuous improvement and then drive the process to impact the results. The supervisor has accountability for the safety, quality and efficiency of the maintenance technicians.
Provide a safe work environment for associates with constant awareness for opportunities to improve safety.
Maintain working knowledge of OSHA regulations to ensure compliance is met.
Provide problem solving support to fix mechanical/machine failures to increase plant availability to allow production to meet schedule requirements.
Provide preventative maintenance and schedule to allow most efficient operation without disruption of production.
Provide coaching and guidance to ensure employees are performing in an acceptable manner, if not corrective action is taken.
Prepare to meet schedules daily using proper planning and proactive mindset to offset issues.
Engage the workforce and motivate them to work with a continuous improvement mindset.
Maintain Dayforce labor records and punch details, vacations, maintenance on call schedule, and other record keeping and filing activities.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure : Green Belt Certification/Black Belt preferred
Years of experience 3 - 5 years maintenance supervision experience in a union environment
Proven Root Cause Problem Solving skills using 5 Why, DMAIC, Fishbone, 5S, Collecting & Analyzing data is preferred.
Project Lead in a Lean Environment
Technical problem solving skills to include electrical systems
Understanding of PLC's and barrel filling equipment
Coaching/Mentoring Skills
Ability to assess projects and prepare budgets
Working knowledge of computer systems
Experience working with CMMS: SAP preferred
Must be willing to work off shifts and provide weekend coverage as necessary
