Brand Public Relations is a critical component to driving consumer demand, enhancing brand awareness, embedding our brands into culture, and enabling our growth as a company through premiumization. The Manager of Brand Public Relations will be responsible for working with marketing teams to develop, manage and execute innovative brand PR programs and events for Suntory Global Spirits in the U.K. that supports premium positioning and resonates with target consumers in this key Global market.
Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Manager of Brand Public Relations will also have a dotted line into the Senior Director of Global Brand Public Relations based in New York and work closely with the U.K. marketing teams to deliver breakthrough PR and events strategies and will execute Global Public Relations strategies to support the U.K. market.
Role Responsibilities
Ownership of senior external relationships such as trade and consumer press, cultural partners and influencers, senior management at key customers and agency leadership.
Execute the PR strategy and amplification of global Suntory events that will take place in the UK, in particular London, that will have an international reach and audience
Lead the brand PR strategy in line with business objectives to develop brand awareness and engagement
Partner with marketing team on key brand innovations and consumer activations in the UK
Partner with brand teams to develop consumer and trade PR plans that drive brand growth and make our portfolio of brands the first to mind for consumers
Develop and maintain the annual PR activation and cultural calendar for the portfolio
Manage the relationship with PR agency partners, including driving the direction, scope development and ongoing performance evaluation.
Day to day management of press office including coverage monitoring and reporting, managing press enquiries, coordinating all press releases.
Drive the measurement and evaluation of all PR campaigns, integrating with the wider campaign and brand objectives and taking accountability for full analysis and learning agenda.
Manage and control annual PR budget and brand investments in line with UK Marketing strategy.
Work with the Global Brand Public Relations team in New York to execute strategies for the U.K. market,
Develop news-worthy pitches, content and media angles that generate coverage in traditional, digital and social media platforms. To include work with influencers and celebrity talent, as may be appropriate for a brand or campaign.
Maintain strong, positive consumer and trade media relations on behalf of the brands and company, cultivating relationships with key journalists and influencers.
Collaborate with digital and social media teams to ensure an integrated approach in driving brand visibility.
Effectively manage public relations agencies on assigned brands throughout all phases, from creative development through program execution and evaluation.
Write media releases, correspondence, speeches, and presentations on assigned brands and Company issues. Contribute to Company intranet, extranet and social channels with content in collaboration with Corporate Communications team.
Qualifications
5+ years experience in PR either in house or agency
Knowledge of the industry and previous experience in the industry would be desirable
Strong background of communications management in particular PR and influencer
Strong stakeholder management skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Strong experience with consumer-insight led planning and activation
Proven ability to clearly define objectives and evaluate and monitor PR Campaigns
Self-reliance and interpersonal skills to interact at all levels of the business
