Role Responsibilities
The R&D Systems and Project Lead is responsible for providing day-to-day support of End Users in North America for the Planisware system, which is used for portfolio and project management. The role will also work with L2 Support (internal and external) as needed to resolve any technical issues or bugs.
The R&D Systems and Project Lead is responsible for providing day-to-day support of End Users in North America for the Planisware system, which is used for portfolio and project management. The role will also work with L2 Support (internal and external) as needed to resolve any technical issues or bugs.
Additionally, the role will collaborate with the business to identify configuration opportunities, implement new features, deploy updates, and train users on the Planisware system. The role will also act as a project manager for all R&D Systems implementations, upgrades, or enhancements, collecting business requirements, managing stakeholders, creating project plans, and ensuring timely and quality delivery.
Successfully Supports end users in North America for day-to-day operations of Planisware; including troubleshooting and issue escalation.
Proactive and independent leadership of collecting opportunities and user stories for system improvements.
Consistent and clear communication appropriate for a broad range of levels from entry level to executives, being seen as a critical business partner.
Partners with Sr. Manager R&D Technology and vendor consultants to design and implement complex system configurations.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in supporting, configuring, and managing enterprise software systems, preferably Planisware or similar PPM tools
Moderate knowledge of at least one Object Oriented Programming language (Javascript preferred)
Experience with relational and/or star schema data models
Excellent communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Experience in project management, business analysis, and stakeholder management; SCRUM or PMP experience not required but a plus
Expert Excel Skills and/or experience with Power BI
Experience with Microsoft Project or other project scheduling tools
Eagerness to learn R&D and New Product Development best practices, including Stage Gate
Ability to work independently and proactively, as well as in a team environment
Willingness to travel occasionally to support global users and projects
