    Job Description:

    DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

    Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD. You will work with experienced colleagues, receive world class training, and be part of a community of students across TD, where you will have an impact, grow as individual and experience our culture of care.

    Our Co-op/Intern Programming is offered with select Co-op and Internship roles and is designed to help you better understand the TD business, build on critical career capabilities, and broaden your professional network. This program is designed to complement your on-the job experience and features:

    • Engage in interactive sessions with key leaders across TD, gaining valuable insights into leadership and the organization's vision.

    • Participate in learning sessions focused on innovation, personal branding, and fostering professional and personal growth.

    • Join a supportive community of students and professionals, expanding your network and building the skills needed for a thriving career in analytics and AI.

    We want our co-ops and interns to have the TD and AI2 experience (Analytics Insights & Artificial Intelligence), where we develop talent, help build great careers and do what it takes to make our clients' lives easier! The goal for our co-ops and interns is that they can have a meaningful experience while growing their skills and gaining new perspectives. Chosen candidates will have the chance to learn and develop their competencies and build great careers.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Responsible for interpreting data, producing insights, creating relevant collateral/ data visualization reports, and recommending actions on complex issues to support business needs. You will perform a variety of activities, which may include:

    • Perform Python/SQL data queries and support data sets for analysis/modelling, including cleaning data and feature engineering with best practices.

    • Analyze large, spatially enabled data sets and identify trends and insights to inform business decisions; communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

    • Support team members and business partners to develop, test and deploy machine learning models, for example: forecasting, optimization, or classification/regression models.

    • Proactively identify and solve business problems and opportunities where a data-driven solution would be appropriate and develop proposals / approaches

    • Collaborate with business partners to support the business case development process for analytics solutions

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Currently enrolled in either a recognized undergraduate or graduate degree majoring in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Statistics, Business, Data Analytics, Business/Commerce or related field with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term.

    • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term

    • Strong statistical and analytical skills and interest are necessary.

    • Strong proficiency in one or more Python, SQL, or other data-related programming languages.

    • Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming.

    • Knowledge in spatially enabled data, geospatial processing tools/platforms

    • Knowledge in one or more Azure, R, AWS, Databricks and Github is a plus

    • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.

    • This position is a 4-month work term and will commence September 8 - December 18, 2026.
