Job Description:
The Corporate Banking Senior Relationship Manager proactively executes integrated sales, service and relationship strategies to support growth and retention of corporate business customers.
Depth & Scope:
Maintains an established and extensive external network which includes centers of influence, diverse industry segments, community leaders, regulators and senior business contacts
Sources large corporate prospects and develops new customer relationships
Handles larger and the most complex credits and loans and more substantial corporate clients, while ensuring ongoing profitability and complete conformity with credit terms
Oversees the closing of deals across all products
Oversees and ensures safe and sound underwriting/credit
Leads the formulation and implementation of long and short-term strategic plans and objectives to increase market share/penetration and maximize opportunities for growth throughout the marketplace
Develops and implements marketing plans for clients with expanding businesses
Provides credit, deposit and other banking services in conjunction with client management activities containing high levels of complexity and involving large amounts of money
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
10+ years of related experience
Expert at structuring deals to balance risk and reward
Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations
Strong written communication skills including demonstrated ability to write reports and business correspondence
Superior verbal communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, the general public and professional peers
In-depth understanding of business and banking terminology
Proven ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to business related situations
In-depth understanding of accounting, including financial statement and credit analysis skills
Proven ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Superior negotiation skills
Superior relationship management and business development/sales skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
In-depth knowledge of credit and credit quality
Proven ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships
Proven leadership ability with excellent interpersonal communication skills
Superior organizational skills
