    Position summary

    untable to consult, design, develop, deliver, and maintain sales educational curricula for the New Hire, Professional Mastery, and Leadership learning pillars of the Sales Enablement University.

    • This role will be both technical in nature, encompassing design and development and training administration as well as strategic, involving planning and execution, collaboration with partners, and acting as a consultative advisor.

    • Educational content is developed for regularly scheduled weekly learning events, ongoing longer programs, and includes National Sales Meetings.

    • The Academic Design and Delivery Consultant requires a high degree of collaboration within the Sales Enablement University team, as well as with Business Leaders and Business Unit Subject Matter Experts.

    • Sales education is designed to enhance the "TOPS" core competencies (Tools, Operating Routines, Product and Sales), meet the learning objectives defined by the business, and effectively and efficiently drive profitable growth.

    • This position is accountable for consulting on needs, recommending training methodologies, and developing engaging curriculum that leverages adult learning principles with a balance of self-directed and facilitator-led experiences.

    • A forward-thinking mindset and aptitude for integrating and leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and technologies is essential. The ideal candidate will embrace AI as a strategic enabler to enhance learning design, delivery, and personalization, and will actively explore opportunities to embed AI-driven solutions into the educational ecosystem.

    • Educational session delivery and facilitation is essential to ensure full engagement of the audience and achievement of desired learning objectives.

    • Business travel can be up to 20%.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Business Consulting

    • Demonstrate strong listening, questioning, and checking skills; diagnose the problem before providing a solution.

    • Integrate a personal style and social presence to gain respect through a consultative approach.

    • Communicate with confidence and authenticity, demonstrating executive presence.

    • Consult with business partners to ensure all learning curriculum is relevant, accurate, and meeting field and segment needs.

    Education Design and Development

    • Develop and deliver (working alongside education content designers) creative, effective, and engaging learning and development programs to drive results for key segment initiatives.

    • Leverage best practices of field subject matter experts and advisory councils.

    • Ensure use of adult learning principles in end-to-end learning solutions.

    • Apply AI tools to streamline content creation, personalize learning paths, and enhance learner engagement.

    Educational Delivery

    • Produce engaging and impactful introductory and mastery educational sessions.

    • Deliver end-to-end solutions for skill-building, performance, and reinforcement learning.

    • Capture, distribute, and archive intellectual capital; build and maintain sales readiness tools, portals, and websites.

    • Utilize AI-driven analytics to assess learner performance and continuously improve delivery strategies.

    Project Management

    • Exhibit a relentless drive to deliver exceptional results, overcoming obstacles through problem solving and determination.

    • Leverage the Engagement Plan framework for segment initiatives.

    • Manage team projects and initiatives through effective planning and communication.

    Qualifications:

    • 3 years insurance experience preferred in Small Business, Personal Insurance, Employee Benefits, Middle Large Commercial, or Global Specialty.

    • Deep business acumen and working knowledge of sales practices and methodologies.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple priorities.

    • Ability to work independently while focusing on effective teamwork and collaboration.

    • Demonstrated curiosity and capability in leveraging AI tools for instructional design, content development, and learner analytics.

    Work Arrangements:

    This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations (Hartford, CT, San Antonio, TX, Lake Mary, FL, Phoenix, AZ, Naperville, IL) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $99,200 - $148,800
