    Position summary

    have a Hybrid or Remote work schedule. Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office periodically. Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work schedule, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise. Some business travel is required.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Provide Risk Engineering expertise at the Account Level, support and assistance to The Hartford and its customers, to assist Large Property Underwriting in risk evaluation of accounts.

    Develop and maintain professional working relationships with Underwriting, Claims, Other HIG Business Partners, Clients and Brokers.

    Support independently large clients or clients with complex business.

    Complete desk top reviews and risk assessments for underwriting evaluating and summarizing exposures and controls.

    Work with underwriting, the client and the broker where appropriate to develop customized Risk Engineering programs including locations to be surveyed (or included as part of service process)

    Develop and implement Account Servicing instructions to guide Risk Engineering services being provided to assigned accounts, and develop year end account summaries for underwriting and the client as required by the different lines of business.

    Review, analyze and prioritize reports, recommendations, and correspondence received from other Property Specialists, Risk Engineering Field Consultants, clients, brokers, etc.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    BA/BS degree in Engineering or Fire Sciences is preferred. Other disciplines will be considered in conjunction with extensive technical expertise or experience in the HPR insurance industry.

    Experience in insurance or related field is required with a minimum of 7+ years related experience.

    Certification/designation(s) (i.e.) CFPS, PE, CSP, ARM, etc. (at least one is preferred, but not required)

    Highly Protected Risk (HPR) skills and experience required.

    Superior analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work in a fast changing, dynamic environment.

    The ability to work on multiple tasks and assignments.

    Results orientated and high level of accountability. Motivated, self-starter.

    Works independently with minimal oversight.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $113,600 - $170,400
