This role will also interact with a wide range of stakeholders and functional groups across the enterprise, including Licensing & Contracting, Marketing & Communications, Data Science, IT, Middle & Large Commercial, and Small Commercial.
WORK ARRANGEMENTS: This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our offices will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week. Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage, assess and execute tasks related to broker/broker code transactions generated from or in partnership with Licensing & Contracting to ensure Global Specialty is aligned properly.
Assist leaders and underwriters with broker performance reporting and insights to help inform business decisions and/or equip for cross-sell activities, leveraging various reporting tools including GURU, BI tools, Tableau, Broker data and ViewPoint.
Aid in special projects and strategic initiatives such as new program administration, sales planning, data mappings to align MLC & GS and others.
Handle questions and help requests from internal customers on matters related to broker codes and correlating processes for Global Specialty.
Assist with the development and ongoing maintenance of a new Global Specialty Sales & Distribution iConnect site.
Project management, coordination and maintenance of the annual sales contest, material development, monthly communications and event planning.
Build relationships and working partnerships with stakeholders and business partners to understand their priorities and needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of commercial carrier insurance experience as a business analyst or similar role.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - ability to analyze information, consider all impacts and make sound decisions.
Experience with business intelligence tools and reporting capabilities (e.g. Tableau, ViewPoint); capable of quickly learning and adapting to other reporting tools to produce meaningful reports for business leaders.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written to a broad range of internal customers.
Highly developed organizational skills - demonstrated ability to juggle multiple initiatives and set priorities.
Excellent skills in MS Office Products; highly proficient in PowerPoint.
Must be self-motivated; takes initiative to addresses problems or begin projects on their own; a self-starter and quick learner.
Commitment to team building and team environment; build and maintain effective relationships with business partners.
Leadership - Identify ways to improve processes to help teammates achieve common goals.
Project management experience or skills a plus.
Experience with SharePoint sites a plus.
College degree desired.
Experience with Salesforce.com configuration preferred
Strong Excel skills, including the ability to create formulas and pivot tables are essential
Marketing or communications experience a plus
Ability to translate customer needs into practical solutions

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
