    Position summary

    identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. - Ensure data quality through rigorous review and validation processes. - Develop and maintain efficient data storage and retrieval strategies.

    • Collaboration & Testing

      • Partner with developers and source system owners to design and execute data testing protocols.
      • Provide guidance on best practices for data integration and system enhancements.
      • Production Data Research & Troubleshooting
    • Technical Expertise

      • Proficient in utilizing advanced Excel functions (ie: pivot tables, macros, complex formulas) for testing, quality review, reporting and analysis.

      • Skilled at reviewing, diagnosing and updating macros and formulas created by other team members.

      • Familiarity with Salesforce.com

      • Manage and maintain SharePoint sites for document control and collaboration.

      • Strong desire to learn AI capabilities that will further enhance current data assets.

    • Business Acumen

      • Apply knowledge of Employee Benefits products, including Life Insurance, Short Term Disability (STD), Long Term Disability (LTD), Supplemental Health Products & Specialty.

      • Ability to interpret performance trends and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Support the data management and quality of Employee Benefits formal sales results (Employer Group and Specialty Segments) as well as Key Indicators (Quote Activity, Close Ratio, Inventory Pipeline).

    • This includes, but is not limited to ensuring Accuracy & Integrity of the data, source & code development, data oversight & troubleshooting, clear definitions etc.

    • Support data testing and accuracy related to system, data feeds & process changes.

    • Ad hoc report requests related to sales, quote activity, close ratio & inventory pipeline.

    • Position involves growing responsibilities, including sales forecasting and planning development opportunities.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience: Minimum 2-5 years in data analysis, quality review and business consulting roles, degree not required however preferred.

    • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel with proven working experience; Ability to reverse engineer existing Excel VBA code. Familiarity with Sharepoint & Salesforce.com, strong understanding of data management principles.

    • Experience in data research and troubleshooting, working across all business lines with proficient follow-up & follow-through.

    • Proven ability to quickly adjust focus and respond effectively to urgent, high priority tasks via strong multi-tasking skills.

    • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.

    • Detail oriented and proficient in analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Ideal candidate will reside in Connecticut and will have the ability to travel into office

    This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $70,960 - $106,440
