    Position summary

    m of product leads and collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders across the organization to drive measurable impact.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Leadership:

      • Define, communicate and execute the Enterprise AI roadmap aligned with product and business goals.
      • Champion a data-first culture across product teams.
      • Identify opportunities for AI to enhance product capabilities and user experience.
    • Team Management:

      • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of product leads.
      • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
    • Product Collaboration:

      • Define and track key product metrics to measure success and inform decision-making.
      • Drive data-informed prioritization and trade-off decisions.
      • Translate complex data insights into actionable product recommendations.
    • Technical Oversight:

      • Oversee the intake, planning prioritization development of the Enterprise AI roadmap and partner closely with data science and engineering teams through implementation of key initiatives.
      • Ensure data quality, governance, and ethical use of AI.
    • Stakeholder Engagement:

      • Communicate findings and strategies to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

      • Advocate for AI initiatives and secure buy-in from key stakeholders.

    This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

    Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or Statistics preferred.

    • 10+ years of experience in data science, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.

    • Proven experience working closely with product teams in Tech or data science.

    • Strong understanding of machine learning, statistical modeling, and data engineering.

    • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

    • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in consumer-facing products or platforms.

    • Familiarity with agile product development methodologies.

    • Background in experimentation platforms or causal inference.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $153,200 - $229,800
