    Position summary

    zation Strategy:** Assess current systems and develop a comprehensive plan for modernization.

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with AI platforms, data science, data engineering, and cloud infrastructure teams to design, deploy, and optimize AI solutions in compliance with enterprise architecture and governance standards.

    • Business Alignment: Partner with Product Management, Process Optimization, Customer Success, Operations, and the Transformation Office to ensure engineering efforts support business objectives.

    • Cloud Architecture: Design and implement cloud-based solutions using microservices, event-driven architecture, and modern cloud technologies.

    • API Development: Create APIs to enable data interoperability and support MCP server development across business units.

    • Automation: Automate manual testing and integrations using AI productivity tools and GenAI pipelines.

    • Compliance: Ensure all solutions meet performance, security, and regulatory requirements.

    • Project Oversight: Monitor project performance, manage resources, and oversee budgeting.

    • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive ongoing innovation.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

    • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership roles in cloud transformation and financial systems.

    • Strong expertise in GCP, AWS, or Azure cloud platforms and microservices architecture.

    • Proficiency in UI frameworks (Angular, React), API-first solutions (RESTful services), microservices, and event-driven architecture (Java, SpringBoot, AWS Kinesis/Kafka, Spring Batch).

    • Experience building advanced servicing solutions on platforms like Pega and Salesforce.

    • Proven track record in modernizing on-premises applications and migrating to cloud-native solutions.

    • Hands-on experience with GenAI enablement, including CoPilot adoption for co-development and software delivery automation.

    • Deep understanding of customer service systems, processes, and compliance.

    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of implementation of GenAI pipelines and prompt engineering techniques.

    • Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Model-Context-Protocol and AI-driven automation.

    This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week

    Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $166,560 - $249,840
