    Position summary

    rance strategy updates for the ELT, including SWOT analyses and competitor assessments.

    • Run the annual Business Insurance Board strategy process, collaborating with business and functional strategy leaders to develop strategy deep dive materials.

    • Support the preparation and delivery of CEO strategy materials for Board discussions.

    • Facilitate and support College of Supervisors ELT strategy updates, partnering with Legal, ERM, Finance, and Business Leaders to shape agendas, prepare materials, and ensure strategic alignment.

    • Own and manage the quarterly Business Insurance Strategy Board Scorecard, including annual metric reviews to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

    • Accountable for the Business Insurance SWOT and Competitor analysis, collaborating with businesses on any strategy materials.

    • Support strategic leadership sessions to align priorities and focus areas.

    • Operate as an independent, unbiased thought partner to senior leadership.

    Stakeholder Engagement & Communications:

    • Ensure alignment and transparency across stakeholders, including ELT, Board, and business units.

    • Craft executive-level and Board presentations, strategic narratives, and reports for leadership forums.

    • Supports communications strategy to advance enterprise strategic initiatives.

    • Build strong relationships across business units and functions to ensure cohesive and collaborative execution of strategic goals while building credibility and trust.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, strategy, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred, or equivalent in experience.

    • 10+ years of leadership experience in strategy, transformation, or related roles, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.

    • Proven track record in driving large-scale initiatives with measurable results.

    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization including C-Suite.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

    • Experience managing cross-functional teams and working within a complex, matrixed environment.

    • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in dynamic business scenarios.

    • An ability to quickly build strong credible relationships quickly when partnering with a variety of levels of business leaders

    • Experience in business roles where change management is a vital component

    Preferred Skills & Behaviors:

    • Deep understanding of strategic planning processes and frameworks.

    • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.

    • Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to create strategic visuals and reports.

    • Demonstrated ability to effectively use copilot or other AI tools for enhancing productivity, generating content, and providing insightful data analysis.

    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and remain results-oriented in a fast-paced environment.

    • A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence.

    This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in the office Tuesday through Thursday.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $140,400 - $210,600
