Hands-on AI Development: Independently evaluate generative AI solutions using platforms such as OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and AWS Bedrock.
Business Consulting: Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities where generative AI can drive value. Translate business problems into AI-enabled solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data science, technology, and operations teams to co-design scalable, production-ready solutions.
Claims Domain Expertise: Apply a deep understanding of claims processes to identify high-impact AI use cases and ensure solutions align with operational realities.
Innovation & Experimentation: Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and test-and-learn experiments to validate hypotheses and measure outcomes.
Communication & Enablement: Create and deliver presentations, training, and documentation to support adoption and understanding of AI solutions across the organization.
What We're Looking For
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in prompt engineering, generative AI tools, and AI model evaluation.
Business Acumen: Ability to consult with stakeholders, understand business needs, and design AI solutions that deliver measurable value.
Claims Knowledge: Strong familiarity with claims operations in P&C or Group Benefits is highly preferred.
Analytical Mindset: Skilled in data analysis, hypothesis testing, and solution optimization.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to influence and educate at all levels of the organization.
Self-Starter: Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Proven track record of delivering AI-driven solutions in a business context.
This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work schedule. Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work schedule, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
