    Position summary

    e expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain governance controls and process documentation for product and underwriting functions.

    • Coordinate and support special projects and represent the team on assigned initiatives.

    • Ensure compliance with internal policies and legal requirements through effective process management.

    • Communicate underwriting guidelines and procedures across Global Specialty and with key stakeholders.

    • Manage SharePoint content, underwriting guidelines, and letters of authority.

    • Assist with product filings, business reviews, and regulatory documentation.

    • Analyze data to support product development and underwriting decisions.

    • Collaborate with product managers, actuaries, and underwriters to integrate products into systems.

    • Support the customization of products for specific market segments.

    • Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational enhancements.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 4+ years' experience within insurance marketplace; focus and expertise in product & underwriting support and administration strongly preferred

    • Strong understanding of all aspects of underwriting execution

    • Ability to absorb multi-disciplinary input and translate into effective actions

    • Superior communication skills, both oral and written

    • Ability to collaborate to drive effective partnerships and deliver outcomes

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Demonstrate a talent to motivate and inspire team employees and cross functional teams

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $68,000 - $102,000
