    In addition, the candidate must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, willingness to understand existing processes and systems, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. They should be able to collaborate with team members through a variety of communication channels.

    This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office location (Hartford, CT; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; and Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

    Responsibilities of the position include:

    • Ability to contribute to story development on a Scrum Agile development team

    • Candidate should be able to develop code for mobile stories that includes functional capabilities, unit tests, and integration test.

    • Understand and implement the overall technical design keeping in mind cross-functional impacts, integration across the organization and architecture rationalization

    • Function as a technical resource and advocate for the mobile app and its architecture, requiring depth and breadth in their knowledge of the business, technologies, applications, integration and interfaces

    • Contribute to mobile app and its backend infrastructure through the software development life cycle, including validating the completeness of estimates, quality and accuracy of technical designs, build and implementation

    • Ensure quality assurance metrics are being met for application testing.

    • Ensure mobile app is accessible and follows Hartford UX design principles.

    • Proactively address technical issues and risks that could impact project

    • Identify opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership in the operational application support areas

    • Work across the organization to provide business process or design recommendations consistent with long term business and IT strategy

    • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

    • High level of independence but is also a team player

    Qualifications

    • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

    • 5+ years of programming / systems analysis and industry specific business expertise

    • Bachelor's Degree Preferred

    • Hands-on experience with hybrid mobile app development using Capacitor and/or Cordova

    • Experience with Front-End Application Development platforms such Angular, Ionic, and Typescript.

    • Experience with UX design and A11Y is a plus.

    • Experience using CI/CD methods such as GitHub Actions.

    • Experience with AWS lambda functions and IaC services such as CloudFormation and/or Terraform. Serverless framework experience is a plus.

    • Solid understanding of unit, integration and E2E testing practices for Mobile.

    • Experience with security models such as OIDC and OAuth token security as well as Identity and Access Management products like ForgeRock is a plus

    • Solid understanding of Scrum Agile project management approach and methodology.

    • Demonstrate advanced business and technical acumen for applications

    • Demonstrate skills in shaping and leading development of technical specifications

    • Strong problem solving and analysis skills

    • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks within established timelines Strong relationship building skills

    • Exceptional Communication skills - written and verbal

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $87,200 - $144,000

    The posted salary range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
