    Position summary

    gulations, assist with various projects related to our strategy in Canada and provide multinational expertise at the point of sale as needed to differentiate HIG's Multinational Choice offering.

    Success in this role will entail demonstrated sales and negotiation skills, strategic planning to create new business, account expansion, cross sell opportunities and renewal retention. Underwriting includes Property and Casualty lines of business.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

    • 3+ years of Multinational P&C insurance experience strongly preferred; experience working with Canadian insureds preferred

    • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining relationships with all internal and external business partners

    • High energy self-starter, who is resilient and has an entrepreneurial spirit

    • Goal-oriented and delivers outcomes

    • Ability to challenge the status quo and compete to win

    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

    • An ability to think analytically about business problems, make recommendations and propose solutions

    • Demonstration of solid time, organizational, and desk management skills

    • Superior technical knowledge and sound decision-making

    • The title level of this position will be determined upon careful examination of the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.

    Location:
    This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of the listed office locations will have the expectation of working in an office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $66,800 - $142,800

    The posted salary range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
