    Position summary

    aims Data Office, Claims Field operations and key stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities to optimize business processes and associated practices. Strong communication and relationship building skills are essential as this involves interaction with a wide variety of Claims personnel at all levels, including but not limited to Claims senior leadership, field operations, data science staff, and business segment leaders.

    Responsibilities:

    • Understands end to end performance of critical processes and sub-processes.

    • Identifies variability in performance metrics and actively participates in the cross-functional team to understand root cause.

    • Evaluates the measurable impact of process changes/improvement and provide recommendation to Field leadership on relative priority (for either process change or improved execution)

    • Participates in cross functional design teams on prioritized opportunities.

    • Understands / monitors data trends and process metrics; present trends and action items to LOB SLT and business segment partners.

    • Monitors impact of deployed process changes to validate solution effectiveness.

    • Understanding the end-to-end ramifications of their changes to other processes and results

    • Supports cross pollination of Claims process to the enterprise.

    Experience & Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree and/or significant line of business experience

    • Demonstrated strong problem solving, communication, customer focus and change management skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships (essential to success for this role)

    • Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets and draw appropriate conclusions.

    • Experience visualizing data for storytelling a plus.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, and to set priorities and plans to meet business goals and objectives.

    • Ability to lead without having formal authority and to work both independently and in a team environment.

    • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing trends (operational, industry, and technological)

    • Strong attention to customer needs and capability to translate into actionable solutions.

    • Documented track record of creating innovative data solutions; passion for delivering outcomes.

    • Strong business intelligence and data collection/visualization tool knowledge, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, SQL etc.

    This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations (Hartford, CT, San Antonio, TX, Lake Mary, FL, Phoenix, AZ or Naperville, IL) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $77,600 - $116,400
