    Position summary

    t Processing (IDP) capabilities through the effective use of cloud technologies and innovative solutions. Your expertise will be pivotal in automating complex workflows and optimizing our infrastructure to meet the growing demands of our business.

    You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and efficient systems that automate document processing and enhance data extraction capabilities.

    This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement cloud-based solutions for Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) Platform using AWS services and other vendor solutions.

    • Develop and maintain Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) workflows to automate document processing, including data extraction, classification, and validation by working closely with business and IT partners.

    • Monitor and troubleshoot Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) Platform to ensure high availability and reliability. Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

    • Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud computing and IDP technologies.

    • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

    • Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate IDP solutions with existing systems and applications.

    • This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work schedule. Candidates who live near one of our locations will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office should maintain their current work arrangement with the expectation of coming into the office as business needs arise.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    • 15+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 2 years in a Principal Engineering role.

    • Hands-on experience with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), OCR, NLP, and machine learning technologies in production environments.

    • Deep expertise in AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, Step Functions, ECS, IAM).

    • Strong programming skills in .NET, Java or Python, with experience building scalable backend services.

    • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

    • Well-versed in the insurance sector, with a history of implementing process automation and augmentation through GenAI technologies.

    • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).

    • Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks

    Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $149,600 - $224,400
