Responsibilities:
Acts as liaison between the business and IT and has worked in an Agile framework structured environment.
Aides team members' elicitation efforts through help selecting approaches and identification of gaps/areas to explore.
Mentors team members to drive awareness of new approaches and improve execution of known techniques.
Ability to structure and drive working and informational sessions that promote collaboration, achieve synergy, and achieve desired outcomes.
Designs all aspects of meetings to ensure fast, effective accomplishment of objectives.
Actively manages participants creating distractions/diversions counter to desired outcomes.
Identifies choices and improvement opportunities to better align own work with the direction and strategic priorities of the broader organization.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical, communication, presentation and critical thinking skills
Domain expertise in P&C Insurance industry
Understanding of structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data and ability to correlate with requirements
Ability to craft clear, effective prompts to drive desired outputs from generative models
Ability to assess and mitigate risks (such as bias) in AI-generated outputs
AI Enhanced Data Analysis: Ability to use generative AI tools (for example, Microsoft Copilot integrated in Power BI) to transform raw data into actionable insights.
Requirements Elicitation & Documentation: Leveraging generative AI to automate and enhance the drafting of business requirements, process maps, and reports.
Prompt Crafting: Designing prompts or agents that help extract domain-specific insights from AI systems.
Prompt Refining (Lifecycle): Strong skills in prompt engineering and its techniques including design, development, and refinement of prompts (zero-shot, few-shot, and chain-of-thought approaches) to maximize accuracy and leverage optimization tools.
Understanding Bias & Ethics: Awareness of the ethical implications of AI in data analysis, including bias detection and mitigation.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, with an advanced degree preferred, and at least five, typically seven years of solid, diverse work experience in IT; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Excellent communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment and management skills, and the ability to work effectively with client and IT management and staff.
Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$100,000 - $150,000
