    Position summary

    olicies, Organizations and Delegated Administrator or equivalent

    • Relevant certifications, specific to cloud, are highly desired

    The Hartford's Cloud Services Platform and SecOps team is looking for a talented individual to join a high-performing team of Cloud Engineers. This team is charged with the design, automation, enhancement, and support of foundational cloud resources. We build software-defined platforms that work at scale. Our goal is to deliver with customer-centricity, putting us at the forefront of crafting The Hartford's foundational cloud infrastructure.

    We are looking for an entrepreneurial Security Cloud Engineer. This role involves defining and building cloud security solutions to support our transformation journey to the cloud. You will design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect cloud-based systems and data. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud security best practices. Experience with security tools and technologies is essential. You should also have the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.     This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office location (Hartford, CT; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; and Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Assist with security research, planning and implementation of new security infrastructure and support ongoing projects

    • Identify opportunities for automation and assist with the development of automation systems to address those opportunities

    • Develop and implement new security services using Infrastructure as Code

    • Deliver high-quality products for the devices, services and other infrastructure components to ensure their security and compliance with industry standards

    • Mentor team members, fostering their growth and development, while doing your part to maintain a culture of continuous learning within the software community

    • Collaborate with team members, Principal Engineers, Program Managers and Operations leaders to envision and develop solutions that delight our end-users

    • Create and maintain good documentation and be ready to disseminate it to make it easier to track progress and identify any issues quickly

    • Present solutions to Senior Leadership and Cloud Engineers

    • Work using agile methodologies and participate in agile ceremonies

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $136,000 - $204,000
