    Key Responsibilities

    • Actively engage with cross-functional teams to promote a FinOps culture of accountability and provide guidance for FinOps capability development and maturity.

    • Clearly present and communicate optimization recommendations to distributed teams and influence strategy and execution of cloud usage.

    • Develop, modify , and maintain cloud costs and utilization reports, dashboards, and alerts that deliver actionable insights into our cloud infrastructure costs and utilization patterns.

    • Analyze opportunities for commitment discounts (AWS Savings Plans, AWS Reserved Instances, GCP CUDs, etc.), measure and track utilization .

    • Analysis of cost anomalies for severity, cost impact and establish potential root cause .

    • Participate in optimization discussions with solution architects and reliability engineers.

    • Analyze large data sets and create financial cost models.

    • Support annual and monthly budget and forecast processes.

    • Assist with capacity planning of workloads moving to the cloud.

    • Support policy and governance processes to maximize business value and adoption of best practices across the organization.

    • Provide stakeholders with recommendations to measure and track KPI/OKR targets.

    • Continuously explore new tools and technologies that can enhance FinOps capabilities.

    • Develop documentation, processes, and standardization of FinOps processes.

    • Participate in internal events to facilitate FinOps knowledge sharing.

    • Be a trusted partner to our stakeholders and cloud user community.

    Required Skills & Experience :

    • Minimum 5 years of experience with AWS or GCP cloud-based platforms and core services.

    • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting FinOps capabilities and functional activities.

    • Strong understanding of AWS or GCP financial management practices including pricing models, optimization strategies, billing, and invoicing.

    • Proficient with cloud management tools (IBM Cloudability , AWS Cost Explorer, GCP Billing Reports).

    • Familiar with rate optimization strategies, commitment-based discounts (AWS Savings Plans, AWS Reserved Instances, GCP CUDs, etc.), and cost metrics for displaying data.

    • Practical knowledge in data engineering to gather, normalize and manage raw data from large datasets into meaningful insights for stakeholders.

    • Strong analytical skills with an aptitude to provide explanation and application of public cloud and cost models, FinOps vocabulary, concepts, processes, and basic financial terminology.

    • Self-motivated individual with the ability to manage deliverables independently and with a high degree of efficiency.

    • Enthusiastic about data analysis, learning modern technologies, and sharing knowledge.

    • Exceptional collaborator who possesses a strong collaborative mindset and attention to detail.

    Nice to Have

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

    • Familiar with business intelligence platforms (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Google Looker)

    • Experience in programming languages (SQL, Python)

    • Experience working with IaC tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation)

    • Snowflake experience a plus

    • Experience working in a mature Agile environment

    • FinOps Certified Practitioner, FinOps Certified Engineer, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, GCP Foundational Certification
