Responsibilities:
Strategic Alignment & Investment Governance
Support the development and maintenance of multi-year roadmaps, financial forecasts, and investment plans.
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to align portfolio investments with strategic objectives and value stream OKRs/KPIs.
Leverage Clarity to support workforce planning, capacity management, and capitalization tracking.
Enterprise Agility & Lean Portfolio Management
Promote lean-agile principles and contribute to the adoption of Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) practices.
Support decentralized execution across multiple value streams and ARTs.
Participate in portfolio ceremonies and planning cycles to ensure alignment and transparency.
Operational Excellence & Execution Enablement
Track and report on portfolio performance using OKRs, KPIs, and agile tools such as Rally.
Monitor backlog health and delivery sustainability across supported teams.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of portfolio ways of working and operating routines.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership
Collaborate with Portfolio Leads, Product Managers, RTEs, and Business Owners to ensure alignment and visibility.
Coach junior analysts and contribute to the Lean Portfolio Management community of practice.
Communicate insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making and strategic trade-offs.
Qualifications:
High-Level Expertise: 5+ years of experience in portfolio operations, business analysis, or agile delivery.
Analytical Rigor: Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
Agile Fluency: Working knowledge of SAFe, Lean Portfolio Management, and agile delivery models.
Collaboration & Influence: Ability to work across functions and levels, building trust and alignment.
Execution Focus: Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn, coach others, and continuously improve processes and outcomes.
This role will have a Hybrid work schedule. Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Candidates who do not live near an office may be considered for a remote work schedule, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise. Hybrid candidates are highly preferred.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
