Lead and conduct PI Planning activities, assist with PI ceremonies, manage capacity planning, and present the outcomes of PI to stakeholders
Oversee the Kanban board to optimize flow, identify bottlenecks, and ensure work items move smoothly through the process
Provide transparency, foster innovation, leverage analytical thinking, and remove impediments within Agile teams
Oversee or facilitate Agile events and problem-solving sessions, promote open dialogue, and engage partners as needed
Generate and track Agile performance metrics, drive improvements, and ensure a data-driven approach to decision-making
Monitor tickets/incidents flow, compliance dashboards, change communications, and inter-team dependencies
Utilize asynchronous communication tools and clear documentation to keep everyone informed and engaged
Proactively work with dependent teams, partner Scrum/Kanban teams to ensure dependencies are tracked and met
Coordinate and support effective communication among team members across time zones
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role
Excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and facilitation skills
Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean
Proven ability to coach and mentor Agile teams
Experience with Agile tools such as Rally
Ability to work effectively in distributed and cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with managing scrum/kanban for Cloud Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Teams, and Insurance Industry
Experience in managing multiple Scrum and Kanban teams across various time zones
Experience with scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe)
Scrum Master certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Professional, Advanced Certified ScrumMaster)
Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$108,800 - $163,200
