    What You'll Do

    • Design Solutions: Design end-to-end solutions for underwriting and risk assessment.

    • AI-First Mindset : Candidates are expected to ask "How can AI solve this?" before considering manual or legacy methods.

    • Drive Innovation: Leverage emerging technologies to create innovative solutions to complex, real-world problems.

    • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with data scientists, engineers, and business leaders to translate complex requirements into elegant, scalable architectures.

    • Ensure Compliance & Security: Adhere to best practices for data governance, security, and regulatory compliance.

    • Future-Proof Systems: Build modular, cloud-native architectures that adapt to evolving business needs and emerging technologies.

    What We're Looking For

    • Prior Experience: 5-8 years of hands-on Solution Architecture experience in an enterprise environment

    • Technical Expertise: Strong background in API design, Event-driven architectures, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), and microservices architecture. Cloud and AI certifications are a plus.

    • AI Literacy : Practical understanding of the capabilities, limitations, and ethical implications of AI. Prior experience designing AI & Agentic Architectures is a plus.

    • Insurance Domain Knowledge: Understanding of Business Insurance processes, risk analysis, and regulatory landscape.

    • Leadership Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills with the ability to effectively communicate solution recommendations and influence key stakeholders to lead solution design from concept to deployment.

    • Innovation Mindset: Passion for emerging technologies and their application in real-world business challenges.

    Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
    $131,600 - $197,400
