    Position summary

    the forefront of transforming Risk Control Services through data-driven insights. You'll help shape how we leverage AI to augment the capabilities of our risk engineers, expand our reach through digital risk solutions, and embed risk mitigation into The Hartford's core value proposition. Your work will empower innovative approaches to risk management, enabling our field teams to deliver smarter, faster, and more impactful service. You'll also connect these advancements back to underwriting and loss experience-ensuring our strategies drive measurable business outcomes. This role offers high visibility, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to deepen your expertise in advanced analytics and emerging technologies.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as a trusted analytics partner to senior leaders by delivering insights on workload distribution, staffing efficiency, and service delivery performance.

    • Develop and maintain performance dashboards and metrics to monitor operational health and strategic initiative progress.

    • Analyze large, complex data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes; translate findings into actionable recommendations that influence key decisions.

    • Collaborate with business partners to define KPIs, establish measurement frameworks, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

    • Create and deliver data-driven stories and presentations for diverse audiences, including senior leadership.

    • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing analytical guidance and measuring outcomes.

    • Stay current on emerging analytics tools and techniques to enhance team capabilities and deliver innovative solutions.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or performance measurement roles.

    • Strong proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau Desktop/Server, ThoughtSpot, Excel); experience with SQL and cloud-based data environments (e.g., Snowflake) preferred.

    • Proven ability to manipulate and interpret large datasets, identify patterns, and explain complex concepts clearly.

    • Exceptional storytelling skills with data; ability to influence decisions through compelling insights.

    • Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to build relationships across business and technical teams.

    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

    • Creative problem solver with a curious mindset and passion for delivering measurable outcomes.

    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Rally) is a plus.

    • Experience in insurance, risk engineering, or related fields is preferred but not required.

    Work Arrangement

    This role offers a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement:

    • Candidates near the Hartford, CT, Chicago, IL, or Charlotte, NC office (or other major locations) are expected to work in-office 3 days per week (Tuesday-Thursday).

    • Remote candidates will work virtually, with occasional travel as business needs arise.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $92,800 - $139,200
