    Position summary

    to Large Commercial's business segment leaders, they will leverage the power of data and analytics to support and influence the pursuit of Large Commercial's business objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    Business Performance Analytics

    • Advance Large Commercial's suite of performance dashboards. Hypothesis test the correlation of activities/behaviors to outcomes and ensure the right key performance indicators are being prioritized and visualized.

    • Advance Large Commercial's suite of portfolio management tools. Provide line of sight into book of business trends, strengths, and weaknesses. Partner with leadership to define book strategies and develop the tools necessary to execute on book strategies.

    • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measures against Large Commercial strategic initiatives and coordinate with other organizations to deliver reporting and analytical solutions.

    • Advance Large Commercial's data currency, including the availability and accuracy of data.

    • Perform analytical deep dives into leadership identified topics, deriving insights and actionable recommendations to inform business decision making.

    • Troubleshoot data gaps and data validation through knowledge of database systems and business context

    Business Execution Design, Implementation, Support

    • Serving as a consultant to each business segment, identify, recommend, and execute on strategic initiatives resulting in revenue growth, increased profitability, operational efficiencies, etc.

    • Develop and maintain industry leading tools which elevate our Customer and Broker experience.

    • Support the production of content and analytics for leadership meetings, strategy workshops and town halls.

    • Support training needs, including educational messaging on product trends, market dynamics and other topics pertaining to The Hartford and our key competitors.

    • Know the end-to-end sales, underwriting and service processes within Large Commercial.

    Qualifications:

    • Strategic mindset. Ability to design and execute on strategic roadmaps and frameworks.

    • 3 + years of experience in Data & Analytics and Commercial Insurance preferred

    • Strong project management skills. Ability to concurrently move multiple initiatives forward and meet deadlines.

    • Understanding of Agile Principles preferred.

    • Ability to handle multiple workstreams, prioritize work accordingly, and coordinate across multiple functional partners

    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

    • Advanced PowerPoint skills.

    • Analytical mindset to analyze data sets and derive business insights.

    • Knowledge of data warehousing/relational databases and foundational experience with SQL

    • Experience with or working knowledge of PowerBI, Tableau, other Visualization tools preferred

    • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.

    • Continuous Improvement Mindset

    This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office location (Hartford, CT, Charlotte, NC, or Chicago, IL) 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday).

    Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $92,800 - $139,200
