    Position summary

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform hands-on front-end, back-end, and test automation development.

    • Document technical requirements and ensure high-quality code.

    • Collaborate within a Scrum team to enhance Agile delivery and DevOps practices.

    • Mentor less experienced engineers.

    • Design and implement applications, enhance user interfaces, and advocate for code reusability.

    • Identify and resolve technical issues and risks.

    • Ensure technical deliverables meet quality and accuracy standards.

    • Develop technical documentation.

    • Continuously learn and apply new technologies.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years of IT experience.

    • Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming, AWS services, Spring Boot, Swagger, JUnit, Angular/React, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, JSON, SQL, Python, and Restful APIs.

    • Experience with Git, version control, continuous integration, and DevOps tools (GitHub, Jenkins, UDeploy, Rally, SonarQube).

    • AI : Experience with Gen AI solutions, AWS Bedrock, Sagemaker, GitHub Copilot/Amazon Q is required

    • Strong understanding of application architecture, software design, and design patterns.

    • Ability to work in both team and independent settings.

    • Excellent consulting, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    • Knowledge of P&C Insurance and Guidewire products is a plus.

    • Experience with Guidewire GOSU language is preferred.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $114,720 - $172,080
