    Position summary

    nsight and entry into Reinsurance underwriting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with and assist the underwriters in the management, evaluation, and analysis of property reinsurance submissions.

    • Work with Central Operations Function and to perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and scheduling meetings.

    • Gather and review relevant data and documentation to support underwriting decisions.

    • Prepare and maintain underwriting files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

    • Coordinate with brokers, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary information.

    • Act on exception reports in a timely manner to ensure accurate risk details are maintained on Underwriting Systems

    • Support the continuous improvement of processes by identifying opportunities and supporting route cause problem solving

    • Conduct data analysis and compile reports requested to support underwriters and management.

    • Participate in IT enhancements and upgrades for Underwriting systems

    • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.

    • Monitor and track the status of reinsurance submissions and renewals.

    • Other ad hoc tasks

    Experience & Skills:

    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle a variety of duties within a timely and accurate manner.

    • Meticulous attention to detail with ability to manage data, highlight potential issues and work with the team to resolve.

    • A very high level of numerical aptitude, curiosity, analytical skills and the ability to problem solve.

    • Self-motivated and mature approach, with ability to take initiative to work alone but also work collaboratively and contribute to the culture as part of a small team

    • Keen to develop skills through training & further learning

    • A very high level of numeracy, analytical skills and the ability to problem solve.

    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook) or ability to learn fast

    • Good level Degree in a STEM, Economics, or related field.

    • Previous experience in insurance or reinsurance is preferred but not necessary.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Knowledge of insurance/reinsurance principles and practices is a plus but not necessary.
