Reporting to the Vehicle Marketing and Communities Manager, the person in this role will support the department's objectives by creating and executing fully integrated strategic and tactical sales and communication plans for their respective series, including cross-organizational alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll be doing
Collaborate with team members and business partners to manage projects, while ensuring KPIs, deadlines, and budgets are met.
Represent Toyota and support Toyota's business and marketing objectives through communication and collaboration with key media, agencies, and/or business partners.
Support the creation of presentations for TMNA executives, TMC, regional teams, dealers, and business partner audiences.
Create product and brand strategies across all marketing channels, including advertising, social media, digital, content marketing, and lead generation.
Identify target customers through research and use insights to develop tailored messaging and strategies.
Continuously analyze product details, customer needs, competitors, and market trends to guide marketing decisions.
Use research, market analysis, and team feedback to shape product requirements that align with customer needs.
Develop and manage detailed product specification documents for marketing materials and training resources.
Produce reports and analyses on pricing, sales performance, and ROI to support team goals.
Oversee vehicle prototypes, fleet management, and related requests.
Build strong relationships across teams to support complex projects and implement product and Community-Based Marketing (CBM) strategies.
Assist with product launches, ongoing marketing, and lifecycle management across customer and community touchpoints.
Analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and provide insights that drive strategic decisions and improve processes.
What you bring
Bachelor's degree (or higher) or equivalent work experience.
Experience in a project management support role.
A growth mindset, demonstrated by continuous learning, adaptability to challenges, respect for people, and the ability to learn.
Experience in Microsoft Suite skills (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to use data for storytelling and decision making.
Understanding of the automotive landscape, including hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and battery electric vehicles.
Strong communication skills and foundational business acumen to understand corporate strategy and present insights to various audiences.
Able to work well independently and as part of a cohesive team.
Basic understanding of marketing metrics and analytics, proactive in analyzing performance and suggesting improvements, can apply strategic thinking, problem-solving, and hypothesis-driven data analysis.
Ability to build credibility and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to execute product strategy.
The ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
Added bonus if you have
Experience in product marketing, consumer insights, digital experiences, corporate planning, advertising, sales, or the automotive or automotive-related industry.
MBA or advanced business degree.
Relevant experience applying prominent marketing strategy models for a large global brand.
Familiarity with key automotive market data sources (examples: Maritz NVCS & NVAS, PIN, Polk Insight, JD Power studies, GfK studies, Tableau, etc.) or demonstrated competency to quickly learn and use these tools.
Experience in an environment where capable of both high-level strategic responsibilities and tactical tasks such as report creation and data analysis.
