as North American assignments, as needed. Areas of focus will include establishing robust safety standards and procedures, support off-site operations in implementing regional and local initiatives, and monitoring progress toward Key Performance targets.
What you'll be doing
Interpretation and implementation of federal, state, and local safety regulations
Conduct auditing to enhance TMMI's Personal Protective
Equipment program
Commission new equipment upon installation to ensure Toyota specifications are met
Maintain and improve TMMI's Machine Tool Safety Program
Conduct root cause investigations of occupational injuries and other concerns
Lead collaboration activity with cross-functional groups
Lead training activity including fall protection and aerial lifts
What you bring
Bachelor's in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Engineering, Public Health, equivalent Engineering or Business degree, Toyota Safety Co-Op experience, or equivalent 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing Safety role
1year of minimum experience developing, implementing, and managing safety programs.
2 years of minimum proven ability to manage projects requiring critical thinking (Kaizen), problem solving, data analysis & verification.
2 years of minimum experience developing and delivering presentations, generating effective reports, and conducting applicable standards research.
Flexibility to support weekend, temporary evening shift and holidays as needed.
Added bonus if you have
Associate Safety Professional (ASP)/Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent.
Master's degree Occupational Safety & Health, Fire Science, Exercise Science, Industrial Engineering, Public Health, or equivalent degree.
OSHA 10 Hour
OSHA 30 Hour
Toyota manufacturing or co-op experience
