Who we're looking for
Toyota's Indirect Procurement Shared Services Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Business Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare TMNA and TFS spend data quarterly that our buyers rely on in their day-to-day functions. Spend data comes from various sources and it must be accumulated, normalized, and enhanced using business rules so that it can be properly classified and categorized and reported out to end users in a digestible format.
In addition to spend and other ad hoc reporting, this role will support automation initiatives to reduce waste from cumbersome manual processes as well as administrative functions as needed, such as setting up users in Tableau, scheduling workflows in Alteryx Gallery, etc.
Reporting to the Manager of Spend Analytics, the person in this role will support Indirect Procurement's objective to optimize the value of our services to Toyota by providing information to IPSS teams and decision makers that they can use toward process optimization and cost reduction. More specifically, the successful candidate will develop efficient reporting processes and reports for IPSS users and create or support process automations to drive standardization and efficiencies.
What you'll be doing
Reporting
Collect and assemble operating data from Ariba, SAP/HANA, Amex, TMNA data lake (TBDP/Redshift), TFS data lake (EDP/Snowflake) and other applications as needed to prepare spend reporting dashboards and reports to Management, Buyers and Analysts (for daily operations/regular reporting and projects)
Design, maintain and optimize the Spend Model in Alteryx, ensuring proper data handling, accuracy and efficiency and work with Procurement operation managers and staff to resolve any issues with database and reporting
Drive and support stabilization and standardization of reporting
Ensure great customer service by using available resources to meet the data needs of our internal customers
Always strive to ensure quality and accuracy of data and reports prepared, especially considering high-level executive audiences and internal customers who rely on the data to make decisions
Automation
Act as a Business Analyst to identify automation opportunities, develop automations internally using available tools, such as Alteryx and Tableau, and/or pass to RPA bot team for more complex requests
Challenge current processes by working as a leader to standardize and continually find innovative ways to improve, streamline and automate
What you bring
Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years relevant experience
Experience: 2+ years relevant experience in a data analyst or financial/accounting role
Skills/Hands on Technical proficiency: accounting, data analytics, light code reading, programming or macro experience.
Type of candidate: Analytical mindset, methodical, detail oriented with drive for accuracy. Willingness to deep dive for answers in the data. Problem solver.

Education: Bachelor's degree in data science/analytics or accounting preferred
Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience with degree or 4+ years without degree
Skills/Hands on Technical proficiency: Proficient in Excel. Alteryx Designer, Tableau or other dashboarding tool preferred
Additional Certifications: ex. Alteryx Foundation or Designer Certification and/or Tableau Desktop Specialist or Data Analyst Certification preferred
