    Toyota Financial Services (TFS) Technology team is looking for a highly motivated person to fill a role as a Data Protection, Engineer

    The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our company's data. The role involves deploying and maintaining DLP technology, developing security policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

    What you'll be doing

    • Oversee the design and implementation of DLP technology stack

    • Develop, tune, and deploy DLP rules and policies in coordination with DLP Analysts and team members

    • Collaborate with the security team and global stakeholders on new or emerging cyber threats to data

    • Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations

    • Collaborate with IT and business teams to enhance data security

    • Identify and improve processes through automation and defined measurements for ongoing program maturity

    • Support Incident Response activities as needed

    • Lead and influence current and future technology decisions with management, Security Architects, and other stakeholders

    • Maintain an active awareness of cyber threats, countermeasure technologies, and industry trends

    • Develop, maintain, and standardize security engineering documentation including but not limited to design, configuration, and procedural materials following internal and industry best practices

    What You Bring

    • At least 5-7 years of experience in Data Security Engineering

    • Proficient in implementing one or more DLP technologies (i.e. eDLP, Email DLP, Cloud DLP, etc.)

    • Proficient in data security techniques, procedures, and technology

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and recommend effective solutions

    • A positive attitude and a customer service-oriented mindset

    • Strong verbal and written abilities to engage with technical and non-technical resources

    • Highly organized and detail oriented

    • Self-motivated personality who can work independently and in team settings with minimal direction or guidance

    Added bonus if you have

    • Cyber Security relevant certifications including CISSP, CDPSE, CIPP, or similar

    • Experience with developing and implementing more than one DLP Technology (i.e. DBAM, eDLP, CASB/SASE, Email DLP, etc.)

    • Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.

    • Data Security experience in a regulated environment

    • Knowledge of Cyber Security regulations and laws
