    Who we're looking for

    Toyota's Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Production Engineer.

    The primary responsibility of this role is to advance the KPIs (improve safety, quality, productivity, cost) for existing low pressure casting machine cells.

    Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, the person in this role will support TMMMO's (Toyota Missouri) objective to meet targets and launch new projects successfully.

    What you'll be doing

    • Lead improvement initiatives - safety, quality, productivity and cost on casting/production lines

    • Lead and support change point management system

    • Work with various departments within TMMMO Plant as well as outside Vendors for process improvements.

    • Lead quality improvement activity.

    • Participate on task force team with Production and Maintenance - support Production/Maintenance kaizens.

    • Daily review of process, part quality and downtime.

    • Provide daily process support with Production and Maintenance

    • Demonstrates good problem-solving skill by determining root cause, countermeasures, implementation and tracking of results.

    What you bring

    • B.S. in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, Engineering Management

    • Experience in creating, implementing, maintaining processes in a manufacturing environment.

    • Ability to work weekends and shutdown work (such as July and December holidays) as needed.

    • Demonstrate skill set in applying production system principles of kaizen, standardized work, problem solving, etc.

    • Demonstrate ability to build working relationships at all levels of organization.

    Added bonus if you have

    • Experience in 2D/3D modeling software - AutoCAD, Inventor or similar software.

    • Toyota Business Practice panel completion

    • Experience of starting up a new production line/product

    • Aluminum casting experience
